My WV neighbor was nice enough to bring over his new Parrot AR Drone Quadricopter for a test flight. Here is a video of it's flight, and to control the copter he was using his Ipad, which also had a live video of what this video is as it was in flight. and this video is me taking a video of the copter at the same time, but more towards the end of the copter flight. (about the 2 minute and 20 second mark)

Crazy Weather

Made it to the cabin on Thursday to a awesome spring day, here is a video of the sunset Next day was very different, waves of water were falling out of the sky, as you can see here On Saturday I was able to shot a very controversial gun, an AR-15, luckily on my first try I hit a clay pigeon from about 60 to 70 yards away, very cool of my WV neighbor to let me try!

Cocker's 40th B-day Weekend

We spent last weekend in Raleigh celebrating Cocker's belated 40th birthday and seeing his amazing new home!  Prior to the party Rob took us to a local gun range to do something a little different.  See Video of Lori shooting a clay pigeon as we played a round of "shotgun golf".  Even though I was terrible at shotgun golf, it is definitely something to do again!  Weekend was way too short but a great time was had by all, great weather too!

Bog body

These bodies were preserved by the natural bogs in Ireland and found in AD.  The lack of oxygen helped keep them intact.  Pretty cool.

Ireland

Made to Ireland, long flight, long day.  We are all recovered and ready to see Ireland.  Guinness is good (whisky too).  Much to see well update again. This is a picture of a castle that we just stopped to have lunch.

Lots of Bucks!

Who knew that a bunch of bucks would be hanging around together, I always thought they stayed apart.  After catching this video on our trail camera it turns out that it is very common for the bucks to form bachelor packs.  They hang around during the summer months up until the "rut" starts and then they start to fight over the females!  Very cool, more to come this is just a quik update

Flying Squirrel

Who thinks I caught a flying squirrel on camera?  Try to ignore the bright light in the video, there was a small try branch hanging over the camera.  But look in the upper left corner of the screen and then wait and see the squirrel in flight?  Or is it a bird/bat/giant moth that just happen to fly by?



This past weekend we hit the Blackwater State Park and here is the current photo of the falls (dry season).  In the second photo you will see what it looked like a few years ago, what a difference!
